Yogendra Rajawat, DVM PhD

Dr. Rajawat graduated from veterinary school in 2004 and earned a
master’s degree in Animal Biotechnology in 2006. In 2007, Dr.
Rajawat joined Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary
Medicine (VMRCVM) and University of Maryland, College Park
campus to pursue a doctoral degree in Cancer Biology. Dr. Rajawat
graduated with his Ph.D. in 2013 and worked in the field of Stem cell
and Gene therapy and Bone marrow transplantation for various
organizations including Academia, Government (NIH and FDA), non-
profit organizations, and Biotech industry. Dr. Rajawat published his
research in several peer-reviewed journals and was awarded multiple
awards throughout his career.
 
Dr. Rajawat has been certified by the Educational Commission for
Foreign Veterinary Graduates of the American Veterinary Medical
Association (AVMA) since 2015. His love for animals and passion for
research is the driving force for his career with almost 20 years of
experience working with small animals.
 
Dr. Rajawat has been practicing Clinical Veterinary Medicine in a
private practice setting in Montgomery County for almost 2 years
prior to moving to Ellicott City with his family in August 2023. He has
expertise in providing medical and surgical care to a broad variety of
animals including dogs, cats, and exotics such as rodents, rabbits,
guinea pigs, hamsters, and ferrets. In his spare time, He loves
spending time with his family and enjoying outdoor activities, hiking
and trekking.
